Paul Van Nevel parle de sa succession et de la boussole du Huelgas Ensemble
Après une carrière de plus de 55 ans, Paul Van Nevel se trouve à un tournant. Au cours des prochaines années, le ténor allemand Achim Schulz jouera un rôle de plus en plus important au sein du Huelgas Ensemble. Pendant Laus Polyphoniae, Van Nevel et Schulz auront chacun leur moment : un ensemble, deux concerts, deux visions. Une occasion unique d’assister à la transmission progressive d’un travail de toute une vie, et de voir comment la musique ancienne reste vivante entre de nouvelles mains. Julie Hendrickx s’entretient avec Paul Van Nevel.

Na een carrière van meer dan 55 jaar belandt Paul Van Nevel op een keerpunt. De Duitse tenor Achim Schulz zal de komende jaren geleidelijk aan een grotere rol opnemen binnen Huelgas Ensemble. Tijdens Laus Polyphoniae krijgen Van Nevel en Schulz alvast elk hun moment: één ensemble, twee concerten, twee visies. Een unieke kans om te horen hoe een levenswerk langzaam wordt doorgegeven, en hoe oude muziek levend blijft in nieuwe handen. Julie Hendrickx in gesprek met Paul Van Nevel.
