Gelukkige verjaardag, Paul!
We zijn verheugd om de 80ste verjaardag van Paul Van Nevel op 4 februari te vieren, waarmee hij meer dan 50 jaar als artistiek directeur van het Huelgas Ensemble markeert! Paul is nog steeds in uitstekende gezondheid, vol energie, en plant nieuwe muzikale avonturen. Klara zal deelnemen aan de viering in hun programma ‘Ampersand’ op zijn verjaardag (van 09.00 tot 12.00 uur), waarbij ze luisteraars zullen uitnodigen om hun verjaardagswensen aan Paul te sturen en hun favoriete Huelgas-opname te kiezen die ze in het programma willen horen (per e-mail naar ampersand@klara.be). Nous sommes ravis de célébrer le 80ᵉ anniversaire de Paul Van Nevel le 4 février, marquant plus de 50 ans en tant que directeur artistique de l’Ensemble Huelgas ! Paul est en excellente santé, plein d’énergie, et prépare de nouvelles aventures musicales. Klara se joindra aux célébrations dans le cadre de leur programme « Ampersand » le jour de son anniversaire (de 09h00 à 12h00), où ils inviteront les auditeurs à adresser leurs vœux d’anniversaire à Paul et à choisir leur enregistrement préféré de l’Ensemble Huelgas qu’ils souhaiteraient entendre dans l’émission (par e-mail à ampersand@klara.be). We are delighted to celebrate Paul Van Nevel's 80th birthday on 4th February, marking over 50 years as artistic director of the Huelgas Ensemble! Paul remains in excellent health, full of energy, and is planning new musical adventures. Klara will join the celebrations on their ‘Ampersand’ programme on his birthday (from 09.00 until 12.00), when they will invite listeners to send their birthday wishes to Paul and choose their favourite Huelgas recording they would like aired on the programme (by email to ampersand@klara.be). Paul Van Nevel on his succession and the Huelgas compass
After a career spanning over 55 years, Paul Van Nevel finds himself at a turning point. Over the coming years, German tenor Achim Schulz will gradually take on a larger role within the Huelgas Ensemble. During Laus Polyphoniae, Van Nevel and Schulz will each have their moment: one ensemble, two concerts, two visions. A unique opportunity to witness how a lifetime’s work is slowly passed on, and how early music remains alive in new hands. Julie Hendrickx in conversation with Paul Van Nevel.
