KVAB Da Vinci lezing over Franco-Vlaamse polyfonie
Op woensdag 19 maart zal Bart Demuyt, Algemeen Directeur van de Alamire Foundation en lid van de Koninklijke Vlaamse Academie van België voor Wetenschappen en Kunsten (KVAB), de sessie De Franco-Vlaamse polyfonie - Complexe meerstemmigheid en emoties in het werk van Du Fay en tijdgenoten leiden in het kader van de KVAB Da Vinci Lectures reeks. De lezing vormt een brug naar ons concert Guillaume Du Fay: Homo Universalis in Leuven op 25 april (oude muziek festival 'Passie van de Stemmen').

Conférence KVAB Da Vinci sur la polyphonie franco-flamand
Le mercredi 19 mars, Bart Demuyt, directeur général de la Fondation Alamire et membre de l'Académie royale flamande de Belgique pour les sciences et les arts (KVAB), dirigera la session intitulée De Franco-Vlaamse polyfonie - Complexe meerstemmigheid en emoties in het werk van Du Fay en tijdgenoten dans le cadre de la série de conférences Da Vinci du KVAB. Cette conférence fait le lien avec notre concert Guillaume Du Fay : Homo Universalis à Louvain le 25 avril (festival de musique ancienne 'Passie van de Stemmen').

KVAB Da Vinci lecture on Franco-Flemish polyphony
On Wednesday 19 March, Bart Demuyt, General Director of the Alamire Foundation and member of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts (KVAB), will lead the session entitled De Franco-Vlaamse polyfonie - Complexe meerstemmigheid en emoties in het werk van Du Fay en tijdgenoten as part of the KVAB Da Vinci Lectures series. The lecture forms a bridge to our concert Guillaume Du Fay: Homo Universalis in Leuven on 25 April (early music festival ‘Passie van de Stemmen’).

Geschiedenis en praktijk van de notatie van de polyfone muziek 1000 - 1600

Het Huelgas Ensemble organiseert in mei twee weekends waarin onze artistiek leider Paul Van Nevel een uitgebreide introductie geeft tot de historische notatie van polyfone muziek. Paul Van Nevel zal de uitgebreide kennis delen die hij heeft opgedaan in talloze studies en in de realisatie van zijn artistieke werk gedurende meer dan 50 jaar. De doelgroep zijn alle liefhebbers van polyfone muziek (professioneel en niet-professioneel) die moderne natatie kunnen lezen.

Histoire et pratique de la notation de la musique polyphonique 1000 – 1600

Le Huelgas Ensemble organise deux week-ends en mai au cours desquels notre directeur artistique Paul Van Nevel donnera une introduction étoffée aux notations historiques de la musique polyphonique. Paul Van Nevel y partage ses connaissances approfondies, acquises au cours d'innombrables études et de la mise en pratique de son travail artistique depuis plus de 50 ans. Tous les amateurs de musique polyphonique peuvent participer (professionnels et non professionnels) sachant lire une notation moderne.

The Huelgas Ensemble is organising two weekends in May during which our artistic director, Paul Van Nevel, will give a comprehensive introduction to the historical notation of polyphonic music. Paul Van Nevel will share his extensive knowledge, which he has gained through countless studies and the realisation of his artistic work over more than 50 years. The target group is all lovers of polyphonic music (professional and non-professional) who can read modern notation.
